The Featured Paper program in AFS journals was established to highlight potential high-impact papers and improve the visibility of AFS journals. Six featured papers were published in 2017. Featured papers are singled out by journal editors as articles that are especially topical, important, likely to be of widespread interest, or otherwise worthy of special promotion and this accords them special treatment. This includes
- Accelerated production
- Waiver of page charges and publication fees
- Waiver of the fee for printing figures in color
- Free online access for two months
- Dedicated promotion
To learn more about how to submit an article for consideration, see the Featured Papers program page.
